Load Project is completely broken

Description
Andrew just noticed that he is unable to load a saved project on his mac (build 6300). He sent it to me and I tried loading with my PC using build 6329 (It was already 6243 was . In both cases absolutely nothing happens (and the information panel does not register than anything has happened). Andrew looked at the file contents and all appeared in order.

I fixed this along with the issue with saving projects as outlined in ticket #249.

So we were able to reproduce with the file saved by Andrew — but not any other way. would like to get to the bottom of this eventually but in the absence of more examples will take far too much time to try to track down now. Moving to 3.0 for now. May eventually resolve as not reproducible if we cannot ever make it happen again
